The Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) promotes the Butterfly program on its social media channels. Here’s what they had to say:

The Princess Maxima Center for Pediatric Oncology has launched a revolutionary PhD program to strengthen the fight against childhood cancer. In the Butterfly Program, top international students are trained to become researchers who study both the causes of childhood cancer and the quality of life during and after treatment.

This program creates a global network of experts with the knowledge and expertise to fight childhood cancer, enabling the faster development of new treatments and better care for children.

The Butterfly Program is made possible in part by European subsidies. And we support organizations such as the Princess Maxima Center in applying for this. RVO offers broad support for entrepreneurs and organizations that want to realize innovative projects.
